In the first of a monthly series today I’m bringing you a three card spread for each astrological Sun sign, divided into groups for Earth, Fire, Air and Water signs. I hope these readings resonate with you and provide some information and guidance of use during May.
If you know your Ascendant and Moon Signs I would suggest reading the tarot for all three: Sun, Moon and Ascendant as there may be messages for you in one or more of those signs.
Earth Signs
Taurus: Death, Two of Swords and Magician: A difficult but important choice which draws upon all your skills and knowledge to make. Communication is key to unveiling information for a wise decision. The decision made could be transformative to one or more aspects of your life.
Virgo: King of Swords, Hierophant and Justice (reversed): Potential legal issues or the need to work within fixed regulatory or policy frameworks. Justice reversed indicates there is a risk of loss or an unfair or inequitable outcome so you may need to seek professional advice to navigate this issue successfully.
Capricorn: Page of Swords (reversed), 8 Swords (reversed) and Ace Pentacles: A new business, career or material opportunity releases you from an uncomfortable or restrictive situation, but take care in what you say to others about the option. In some cases health will improve after some anxiety but ensure health advice comes from professionally qualified services.
Fire Signs
Aries: Ace of Cups, Empress, 8 Wands: New love and passion comes quickly into your life, promising a nurturing and warm relationship. For others is the promise of a great creative passion or matter close to your heart progressing freely this month and for parents/carers, some good news about your children or others in you care.
Leo: Knight of Pentacles (reversed), Hermit and 10 of Pentacles: Money comes though unconventional or sporadic (ie gig economy) work at the moment. Spending time at home or working from home helps provide a sound foundation. You may work successfully towards a more secure career foundation in this month.
Sagittarius: Ace of Wands, 2 of Wands, Four of Pentacles (reversed): A new passion at its earliest stages of attraction draws you out of a sense of being stuck or isolated. If not about love, this predicts a great new creative idea or ambition with the potential to unlock your power to manifest.
Air Signs
Gemini: 5 of Pentacles (reversed), Empress (reversed), Hermit (reversed): Time to come out of your shell. You’ve been in self-imposed or externally required isolation for too long and your spirit yearns for connection. This month promises opportunities to emerge carefully and wisely.
Libra: Star, 2 of Cups, 4 of Pentacles: New love may been the horizon and this fills you with equal measures of hope and trepidation. Don’t let past hurts and patterns rule your choices now. If not love, new creative or emotional energies bring a renewal of energy but don’t hold on too tight to a pre-conceived vision/plan or you could miss what’s coming next!
Aquarius: 4 Cups, Emperor, Sun (reversed): Work or power issues have caused you to feel unrecognised and unrewarded. You may also feel mis-aligned with the values of your employer or others in positions of power. Look for ways to promote your profile and your values including moving on (if possible) from situations which will not serve you.
Water Signs
Pisces: Strength, King of Cups, Knight of Swords: You’re in a strong position to communicate and promote your vision and aims, holding either a position of some authority or having the support of someone who does. Be careful not to wield this influence too wildly – you have the potential to bring in something new and exciting but don’t risk losing support through the way you communicate or through an uncharacteristic lack of empathy for your audience.
Cancer: World (reversed), 2 of Wands (reversed), 10 of Wands (reversed): You’re feeling stuck and unable to complete or resolve an issue. The key is identifying which burdens you carry aren’t really yours or required, and allowing yourself to release these even if this causes some conflict or disappointment from others.
Scorpio: 10 of Cups (reversed), Ace of Wands, 10 of Swords (reversed): You’ve been worried about something/someone you love or is dear to your creative ambitions, but new energy and a new path is emerging which will relieve the anxiety and help restore emotional balance. For some this will require moving on from an emotional situation or drama of some long-standing.
